Am I a Bullet Journaler Now?

Just like many people did during the pandemic I busied myself with new crafts. One was of course getting back into my art but the other was getting into bullet journals. I know, bullet journals have turned into this fancy and excessive way of planning and tracking all kinds of stuff that most people either don't track or they do so in their phones. Originally, a bullet journal was a simple and organized way to plan. I go sucked in though! Being on Tik Tok and getting back into Harry Potter I got the idea to make my owner planner rather than buy a new one. So I bought a bullet journal from a small business I had found on Tik Tok called Of Aspen ( you should check her shop out it has some really great stuff for journaling) I also went to Michaels and got pens.

As you can probably guess the theme for my journal is Harry Potter and each month is a different theme from the movies and books. It worked so well! The layout was exactly what I liked about my old $5 planner and it had fun doodles that made me happy everytime I used it. I started tracking different habits as the house points and I tracked fun things that I did everyday as the mauraders map. As time consuming as it is I would reccommend it to anyone. It can be as elaborate or simple as you want it to be because you are the one designing it. I have bought an expensive personalized planner before and it was fine but I like this much more.

Although, I do have to admit that I have not kept up with it since April. Unless you can sit down every month and take the time to set up each months spread I reccommend that you do it all before hand. Being in my last year of college April was a busy month and I just kept putting off and now it is July and I still haven't done it. However, I will do it and continue to use the planner eventhough I won't have much to plan given I am done with school. For now.

If you want to start your own bullet journal I highly reccommend watching Amanda Rach Lee on youtube. She is a fantasic artist and really easy to follow for a beginner. I love watching her planning videos because she has such a chill voice and vibe. She also has a shop with all kinds of supplies for journaling. Watching her videos will give you great ideas for your own planner if you want to start or she is great to watch whille studying since her vieos are so chill.
